I recently bought a hand fed Bourkes parakeet and I have to say that this is the sweetest little bird I've ever been around. You can definetly tell that someone took alot time with him, he is so tame.
I've never been a big hookbill fan, but, I can say that if this little Bourkes is any indication of the commitement Phil has to his birds, you will definetly be getting a very nice pet.
You can tell these folks love their birds. It shows in the bird!!!
Again, my experience was very positive, Phil was very knowlegble and helpful, as well as going out of his way on a Sunday to meet me with the bird.
Thanks, Ray

Hi I am Suzanne and I got my Greeny in 2009 from Phil and I just love him. He is the SWEETEST bird. He was not a fledgling when I got him- he was a little older but still just a doll. I think Phil has some of the best tempered pet Green Cheeks to be found. My little Sweet Pea is the biggest snuggler. He is like a tiny kitten.. just content to snuggle your neck and hang out and watch TV or surf the web. Green Cheeks are very playful and love to lay on their backs. I find them to be one of the most entertaining pet birds ever! You couldn't find a better breeder to deal with. If and when I decide to get another Green Cheek.. I am going with "Something Cheeky".

We brought home Tango, our extra yellow yellowsided green cheek, last June. He is a very sweet and affectionate bird and we feel very lucky to have him. We would definitely purchase another bird from Something Cheeky in the future!

I would like to encourage anyone interested in a hand fed, hand raised bird to contact Phil & Quiana. I purchased a pineapple conure from them almost two weeks ago and the bird is simply awesome! She came right to me the moment Phil let her out of the cage. It is amazing how well this bird has adapted to being around people. She has a very good appetite and likes to take baths. She sits on my shoulder indoors and outside. Her colors are very bright. I have no regrets about buying this bird. Thanks, Heath

Little "Tiki" has figured out that she really likes the fresh fruit/veggie assortment that I leave on a paper towel in the bottom of her cage. Yesterday I thought she had just scattered everything, but after looking - she did eat it all. She's very well adjusted to adapt to the chaos at my house....loves interacting and her true playful, mischievious side is coming out since she's getting more comfortable. Thanks again!!

I bought a baby from Something Cheeky last year, and she'll be 1 year old next week, on June 23, 2011. My baby girl Crimson-Bellied Conure, Tali, is so adorable! She's been the light of my life since her plane landed out here in sunny California. I did a lot of research online to find just the right breed of parrot and the right breeder for me. I found them both in South Carolina. I know that in CA there are more breeders, and that flights are expensive, but I really must tell you all who are reading this, that Phil and Quiana care deeply for their birds. Unlike the aviaries out here that just fire out baby greencheeks like crazy and honestly spend little time interacting with their 'handfed' birds, Phil and Quiana really mean it when they say they play with their birds daily, and devote their lives to making each of those birds super loving and cuddly. Their children interact with the babies as well, so they're very child-friendly, which is a super awesome bonus for me. When Tali arrived here, I introduced her to my young godson, and he was able (under hands-on supervision) to pet her back, and Tali made this little cooing sound and cuddled up to his hand for more love! It's amazing.

Plus anytime I had a question, I was able to call Phil long-distance and he was so nice and helpful at offering tips and ideas to me. I am so happy with this aviary and the quality of the bird I got, My boyfriend and I are considering coming back to adopt a little boy crismon-belly conure, too (separate cages of course).

If you're looking for a very loving, family-friendly, creative, fun, and smart little bird with a big personality, I will firstly always recommend Something Cheeky. They are truly handfed there, and the bird personalities that pop out of this aviary are simply addictively charming!

I recently bought an extra red yellow side green cheek from Phil and Quiana. My cheek is very sweet and is already starting to be comfortable with us, he's not afraid of the other pets. We had company yesterday and Nugget let everyone pet him and was at ease with everything going on around him. ( and this was his first day home ) I was surprised that he wasn't even afraid of the vacuum cleaner.

Today he started to step up, trained him by showing him a pellet, he stepped up to get it.

I highly recommend buying your parrot from Something Cheeky, very good service, they will call you if need be, and answer any questions you might have. All in all excellent service and superb birds!

Thank you Phil & Quiana, you're doing an excellent job with those birds!
